Tour Overview

Morocco, home to the indigenous Berber people (self-named Imazighen), boasts a rich and diverse history shaped by migration, trade, and conquest. From its origins as a Carthaginian and Roman outpost to the Arab conquests that gave rise to the Maghrib (Arabic for “the West”), Morocco’s history is a fascinating tapestry of cultures, empires, and dynasties.

The first native Amazigh dynasty, the Almoravids, built an empire stretching from southern Spain to sub-Saharan Africa during the 11th century. Despite European attempts to colonize the region in the late 15th century, Morocco retained its sovereignty until becoming a French protectorate in 1912. Gaining independence in 1956, Morocco remains the only monarchy in North Africa today—a land of ancient traditions, vibrant markets, majestic mountains, and vast Sahara dunes.

Explore Morocco’s rich culture, historic medinas, dramatic landscapes, and ancient kasbahs on this unforgettable journey through time and terrain.
