Tour Overview

Upon your arrival at the airport or port in Tangier, you’ll be picked up and set off on a journey to Chefchaouen, a hidden mystical town on the north coast. Originally established as a strategic outpost to resist the Portuguese, Chefchaouen remained closed to Europeans until the Spanish army’s arrival in 1920. Arriving in the late afternoon, you’ll spend two nights in Chefchaouen.

Day : 1Tangier Pick-Up from Airport/Port to Chefchaouen

Upon arrival at Tangier’s airport or port, you’ll be greeted by your driver and transported to Chefchaouen, a mystical town originally established to resist Portuguese forces on the north coast. Completely closed to Europeans until the arrival of Spanish troops in 1920, Chefchaouen is a gem of history and culture. Arriving in the late afternoon, you’ll spend two nights here.

Day 2Exploring Chefchaouen

After breakfast, spend the day exploring Chefchaouen, a holy mountain city nestled within a natural biosphere reserve. The town’s friendly locals, dressed in iconic white and blue, welcome visitors with breathtaking urban views, unique examples of local craftsmanship, and an atmosphere of serenity that is hard to find elsewhere.

Day 3Chefchaouen to Fez

After breakfast, continue your journey toward Fez, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities, dating back to the 8th century. Fez is not only a historical treasure but also one of the world’s most important centers of Islamic scholarship, home to one of the world’s oldest universities. The afternoon will be free for you to relax and immerse yourself in the timeless charm of this ancient city.

Day 4: Fez Sightseeing with Local Guide

After breakfast, embark on a guided exploration of Fez. Stroll through the medina (old town), a labyrinth of narrow alleyways bustling with life and dominated by centuries-old mosques and Quranic schools. The structure of the city reflects its Andalusian and Moorish heritage, and the medina’s guild system remains intact. Fez has historically been a center of learning and religion and continues to be Morocco’s spiritual capital. Return to your accommodation for the evening.

Day 5: Fez - Meknes - Volubilis - Meknes

After breakfast, set off westward to Volubilis, the most important archaeological site in Morocco and an ancient Roman city. Spend time exploring the ruins and enjoy the opportunity to learn about this historical site through a local guided tour. From Volubilis, proceed to Moulay Idriss, an important Moroccan pilgrimage site. Next, head to Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. You’ll have free time to explore Meknes’ vibrant medina, bustling souks, and charming cafés. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in a hotel or riad in Meknes.

Day 6: Meknes - Rabat - Asilah

After breakfast, depart for Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Visit iconic landmarks such as the Royal Palace, Mohammed V Mausoleum, Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. After exploring Rabat, continue your journey to Asilah, a charming coastal town known for its whitewashed medina. Spend the afternoon enjoying a relaxing walk through the beautiful streets of this historic gem. Overnight accommodation in Asilah.

Day 7:Asilah - Tangier Airport/City/Port
