Welcome to Morocco! Your adventure begins with a warm greeting at Casablanca Airport and a transfer to a charming oceanfront restaurant for your first breakfast. After your meal, head to Corniche Seaside, a stunning location offering incredible views of the ocean.
Next, meet your local guide and visit Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque outside of Mecca. Then, explore Morocco Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in North Africa. Following this, journey to Chefchaouen, known as the “Blue Pearl,” where you’ll spend the night in your Riad.
After a hearty breakfast, your exploration of Chefchaouen begins. Discover the iconic blue walls, doors, and charming streets of this picturesque town. Chefchaouen offers a unique and tranquil atmosphere that reflects traditional Moroccan life. Don’t miss the new town, where you’ll find beautiful Andalusian architecture and a lovely park at the end of Avenida Mohammed V. Spend the night at your Riad in Chefchaouen.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the Rif Mountains to reach Volubilis, an ancient Roman ruin and UNESCO-listed open-air museum. While not as grand as other Roman ruins along the Mediterranean coast, Volubilis offers a peaceful glimpse into Morocco’s fascinating history.
Next, drive to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and a key cultural site dating back to the 17th century. Visit the Bab el Mansour and Moulay Ismail’s Shrine, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, continue your journey to Fes, where you will spend the night.
After breakfast at your Riad, dedicate the day to discovering Fes, one of the most historically significant cities in Morocco and home to the world’s oldest university, Quaraouine University, established in the 9th century. Explore the historic Medina, Medersa Attarine, the Chouara Tannery, the blue gate, and vibrant local souks.
After lunch, enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Medina from a vantage point before returning to your Riad for the night. Fes offers a fascinating mix of history, culture, and sensory experiences with its labyrinthine streets and local markets.
After breakfast, set out from Fes for a journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains toward Ifrane and Azrou. Stop to observe the Barbary Apes in their natural habitat and continue across Tizi Ntalghamt pass toward Midelt. As you drive through the Ziz Gorges, watch the landscape transition from green mountain plateaus to the vast expanses of the Sahara.
Enjoy lunch in a local town, then proceed through Ziz Valley, Erfoud, Rissani, and finally Merzouga. Upon arrival, savor mint tea, store your bags at a nearby hotel, and set off on a camel ride to your luxury Berber desert camp. The Erg Chebbi dunes are massive, stretching 20 km long and 5 km wide, and represent the Sahara’s iconic landscape.
Your Berber tent is fully equipped with beds, blankets, a private toilet, shower, and cushions. Enjoy dinner under the stars and immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of the desert.
Awake early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, ride a 4×4 vehicle toward Khamlia Village, historically home to former Sudanese slaves. Explore their music, culture, and way of life. Visit the nearby Merzouga Lake, home to various bird species, including flamingos.
Next, visit the nomadic Berber homes and explore Rissani, an ancient city considered the birthplace of the Alaouite Dynasty. Enjoy Berber Pizza for lunch, a unique traditional meal baked in ashes rather than on a stove. Return to your Riad afterward to rest and enjoy this rich desert exploration.
After an early breakfast and a final glimpse of the Sahara sunrise, journey toward Tinghir through Erfoud. Visit Toudgha Valley, the famous Dades Gorge, and see the rock formations known as the “Fingerprints of the Monkeys.”
Drive through Roses Valley, the source of Morocco’s renowned rose products, and visit a local cooperative. Continue toward Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Sahara,” and explore the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This historic site has appeared in many famous films, including Gladiator and The Prince of Persia.
After a guided tour of Ait Benhaddou and a scenic drive through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, arrive in Marrakech by 3:00 PM. Explore the vibrant Jamaa El Fna Square, the heartbeat of Marrakech, and settle into your accommodation.
Explore the highlights of Marrakech, including the old medina, Jewish Quarter, Bahia Palace, Menara Park, Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, and Ben Youssef Madrasa. Explore Majorelle Garden and the city’s famous ramparts. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner at Chez Ali, featuring a spectacular Berber music performance and a horse show.
Return to your riad or hotel to rest after a day immersed in the magic of Marrakech.
Embark on a full-day trip to Ourika Valley. Begin with a journey across the Houz Plains, visiting a pottery workshop and a local Argan oil cooperative to learn about its production process. Explore the vibrant Tnin Ourika market and head to Setti Fatma, a Berber village offering relaxing retreats by walnut trees. Optionally hike with a local guide to explore scenic waterfalls. Return to Marrakech by the afternoon for a relaxing conclusion to your adventure.
Depart Marrakech at 8:00 AM toward Essaouira. Cross the Argan tree forests, famous for the wild goats climbing them to forage for Argan nuts. Visit a local cooperative and sample local products or wine.
Upon arrival in Essaouira, explore the Medina, Mellah, Kasbah, and fishing port with your local guide. Enjoy lunch at a seaside café, then spend the afternoon surfing with a local guide or simply exploring the beautiful beaches and relaxed vibes of Essaouira.
