Marhaba! Upon arrival at the port of Tangier, you’ll be warmly greeted by your MTS driver. After a scenic 1 hour and 20-minute drive, you’ll arrive in Chefchaouen and check into your riad. Take some time to freshen up, unwind, or relax before heading out to explore this magical city.
Chefchaouen, famously known as the “Blue City” of Morocco, was founded in the 15th century by Jews and Moors fleeing the Reconquista in Spain. This enchanting town features numerous ancient synagogues, the historic Kasbah (a fortified 15th-century building), and the iconic Utta El Hamam Plaza. Wander through the charming Medina, a maze of cobblestone streets and local markets, perfect for shopping for unique handcrafted souvenirs. Don’t miss the Grand Mosque of Chefchaouen, a prominent landmark with its distinctive octagonal tower—one of the most photographed spots in the city.
After a delightful breakfast, it’s time to check out of your riad (note that you won’t return to the hotel afterward to save time). Your day will kick off with an authentic Moroccan cooking class. Learn how to prepare traditional Moroccan dishes under the guidance of a local chef, and enjoy the dishes you prepare for lunch.
In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to further explore the Medina at your own pace. Discover hidden gems, shop for local crafts, or simply soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Chefchaouen’s blue-hued streets.
At 5:00 PM, begin your journey back to Tangier. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, concluding this memorable experience.
