After an early breakfast in Fez, we’ll begin our journey through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be Ifrane, known as “The Moroccan Little Switzerland,” a charming mountain town with European-style architecture. En route, we’ll visit Azrou’s cedar forests, where you can spot Barbary macaques and capture photos of Morocco’s natural beauty.
We’ll make our way toward Midelt, a town famous for its fossils and rock formations, where we’ll pause for lunch. Afterward, continue through stunning landscapes toward Merzouga, often referred to as The Gateway to the Sahara. Here, we’ll enjoy dinner and immerse ourselves in the enchanting rhythms of traditional Saharan music while spending the night in a kasbah.
Today, we’ll dive deeper into the magical Sahara experience. We’ll try our hand at sandboarding on the rolling dunes of Erg Chebbi, followed by exploring the desert’s natural beauty and vast landscapes. Our journey will take us to Khamlia Village, a small settlement famous for its vibrant Gnaoua music—a hypnotic traditional genre rooted in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Here, you’ll enjoy cultural insights, local music performances, and interactions with the artisans. We’ll also visit nomadic Berber tribes, where you’ll learn about their way of life and traditional customs, including their resilient nomadic lifestyle without modern utilities.
Following our exploration, we’ll embark on a thrilling Jeep tour, experiencing the beauty of the Sahara firsthand. In the evening, we’ll retreat to a traditional desert camp where we’ll share stories under a starry sky, enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, and spend the night in the dunes.
Rise early to witness the serene sunrise over the dunes near the Algerian border, creating a breathtaking desert landscape. Afterward, we’ll return to Merzouga for breakfast and begin our journey toward Tinghir, a charming oasis town in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains.
We’ll explore Tinghir’s kasbahs, narrow streets, and local souks, offering a glimpse into rural Moroccan life. Next, we’ll visit the awe-inspiring Todgha Gorge (Gorges du Toudra)—a natural wonder with towering rock cliffs that rise dramatically from the riverbed. We’ll continue our scenic drive through the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses, marveling at the rock formations, lush valleys, and stunning views. Our journey leads to Boumalne Dades, where we’ll rest for the night and immerse ourselves in the tranquil beauty of this area.
After breakfast, we’ll set out toward Ouarzazate, known as The Gateway to the Desert. Here, we’ll visit iconic sites such as the Kasbah of Taourirt and Atlas Studios, one of the most famous film studios in Africa.
We’ll make a stop at the Fint Oasis and explore Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most stunning kasbahs in Morocco. Afterward, we’ll traverse the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, a scenic mountain route that rises to 2,260 meters above sea level. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking mountain views, vibrant landscapes, small villages, and waterfalls.
