3 Days Merzouga Tour

Your driver-guide will pick you up from your riad at 8:15 AM to begin your journey to Dades Valley, where we’ll spend our first night. Along the way, we’ll drive through Tizi n’Tichka, the breathtaking mountain pass in the High Atlas, stopping to admire the panoramic views and capture some memorable photos.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit a local village where you’ll meet local women producing traditional Moroccan oil. Next, we’ll explore Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous film backdrop for classics like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Alexander. After lunch in Ait Benhaddou, we’ll continue through stunning landscapes and historic sites, including Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate and the Roses Valley, known for its annual Rose Festival.

Our journey will also take us through the charming Berber villages of Skoura, El Kelaa des M’Gouna, and Boumalne Dades.

We’ll arrive in Dades Valley in the evening for check-in at your hotel, where dinner and breakfast are included.

After breakfast, we’ll depart from Dades Gorges and head toward the Erg Chebbi Desert in Merzouga. Along the way, we’ll pass through picturesque Berber villages, offering a glimpse into local life. Our route will take us through Todra Gorges, where we’ll enjoy a short walk to experience the stunning beauty of this famous natural wonder in Tinghir.

Continuing on, we’ll pass through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, where the landscape begins to transform as we approach the pre-Saharan oasis of Tafilalet.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, we’ll check into a hotel to freshen up and relax for a few minutes. Your luggage will be transported by car to the desert camp, but we recommend you bring a small bag with essentials such as water and your camera for the journey.

Next, it’s time to meet your camels for an unforgettable ride across the golden Erg Chebbi sand dunes. This is the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photographs as the sand dunes glow in hues of gold with the setting sun.

After arriving at the camp, you’ll leave your camels and have the chance to climb the tallest sand dunes for some sandboarding fun and breathtaking sunset views. We’ll spend the night in a traditional Berber nomad tent under the stars.

Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner in the desert as you’re entertained by the rhythmic beat of desert drums and singing. As the night unfolds, look up at the vast, starlit sky—a truly magical and unforgettable sight.

Day 3: Merzouga to Marrakech via Alnif – Tazzarine – Nkob – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey back toward Marrakech with a route filled with stunning landscapes and fascinating cultural stops. Our first stop will be Alnif, a small yet charming village surrounded by the beauty of the pre-Saharan terrain. We’ll continue through Tazzarine, a serene desert town offering a glimpse into traditional Berber life and its timeless charm.

Next, we’ll pass through Nkob, a picturesque village nestled at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, known for its traditional kasbahs and beautiful desert scenery.

Our journey will then lead us to Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert.” Here, we’ll visit iconic landmarks like Taourirt Kasbah and explore the historic beauty of this ancient film city, famous for its role in many classic movies.

After exploring Ouarzazate, we’ll continue our drive through the stunning mountain landscapes back to Marrakech, concluding this unforgettable journey through Morocco’s most captivating sights and cultural treasures.
