Your adventure begins with a 7:00 AM departure from your hotel. Set out on an unforgettable journey toward Ouarzazate, traveling through the scenic mountainous route lined with lush forests, green landscapes, and ancient Amazigh palaces and homes.
Tizi n’Tichka: Pause at this incredible mountain pass, located 2,165 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains.
You’ll arrive in Ouarzazate by 11:00 AM, though there will be no sightseeing today. Continue your journey toward Agdez, a charming village offering stunning panoramic views of the largest palm oasis in Morocco, stretching through the Draa Valley. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a comfortable and scenic local restaurant.
Next, proceed to Zagora, known as the “Bride of the South”, one of the oldest cities in southern Morocco. Take some time to explore the Draa Valley, one of the largest and most iconic oases in the country. Capture memorable photos of this breathtaking location.
Your journey will then lead you to Tamgroute, a historic village celebrated for its pottery and ceramics. Visit a local workshop to observe the creation of traditional, handmade clay pottery—a unique part of southern Moroccan culture.
From here, continue toward M’hamid El Ghizlaine. The next hour will take you through beautiful desert landscapes. Be sure to pack essentials like water and sunscreen, as the desert climate awaits. A knowledgeable guide will accompany you on the journey.
Upon arrival at the luxury desert camp in the Chegaga dunes, take time to relax and enjoy the surreal beauty of the golden sand dunes. Snap stunning photographs of this expansive landscape and immerse yourself in optional activities such as sandboarding.
After dinner, experience the rhythm of Amazigh (Berber) music around the campfire under the vast, starlit desert sky. Dance, sing, and connect with local traditions as the melodies transport you. With luck, you may even spot meteors streaking across the sky, adding an extra touch of magic to your desert adventure.
This morning, you’ll have the special opportunity to wake early and watch the sunrise over the Chegaga dunes—a magical and unforgettable sight. After enjoying breakfast, embark on a thrilling 1.5-hour Quad ride back toward your driver, marking the start of your return journey.
After approximately 2.5 hours, you’ll arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Here, you’ll visit Atlas Studio, the largest film studio in North Africa. Explore the studio with your guide for about 1.5 hours (entrance included in your tour).
Next, you’ll visit Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, one of the most iconic and historically significant kasbahs in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A local guide will lead you on a 2-hour guided tour in English through this ancient fortress village. Entry is included, and the experience offers insights into its fascinating history and architectural beauty.
After the guided tour, enjoy a 1-hour lunch break to relax and refuel.
Following lunch, visit Kasbah Telouet, another historically significant kasbah offering cultural insights and picturesque views. On the way, stop by local women-run cooperatives where Amazigh women produce traditional goods, including Argan oil and its many derivatives. Learn about their craftsmanship, culture, and daily lives, and take time to support these local artisans.
You’ll also have opportunities to stop at scenic spots along the way for photos and to soak in the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains.
Arrive back in Marrakech in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable journey through Morocco.
